Head and Tail Stock units provide an easy way of manipulating lengthy work-pieces. They provide steady rotation and an infinitely variable speed control within various customizable RPM ranges.
Units are sold in pairs consisting of a power headstock and an idler tail stock; although a power tail-stock is also available which consequently doubles the rotating torque (recommended under extreme overhang applications). Both, head-stock and tail stock are dimensionally identical.
Due to the vast variety of specific applications, Head & Tail stock units are manufactured on an individual basis; taking into consideration manufacturing processes and specific requirements.
Head and Tail stock combinations range from 4,000 lbs to 20,000lbs. Please contact Rapol Inc for applications outside this range or special configuration.
